Bowling for Kids Sake

When most were home, sleeping off the afterglow of prom, LCCTC's Peer Leaders were taking down pin after pin at Colonial Bowling Lanes.

On the morning of April 23rd, thirteen Peer Leaders decided to put their own desire to sleep on the back burner to raise funds for Big Brothers and Big Sisters through their Bowling for Kids' Sake event. Frequently falling on the morning after prom, this year's senior Peer Leaders made sure the tradition (and the fun) continued.

They joined a half a million other contributors while at the same time had fun and made an impact on our community.

According to the Cray website, "Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County, a volunteer program that matches adult mentors with at-risk youth between the ages of 6 and 15, is part of the national BBBS mentoring program which works to provide children who are facing adversity, with strong and enduring professionally supported relationships that change their lives for the better, forever."
