YUM! Stuffing ~ Samantha Amon

Another Kid-Friendly Recipe

Some people think the only way to have stuffing is to stuff it in a bird, but that’s not the case. All that does is make your stuffing soggy and dependent on your main dish. Stop treating stuffing like it needs the turkey to shine when it can shine all by itself.

1 loaf sliced white bread
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 onion, chopped
4 stalks celery, chopped
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup chicken broth

  1. Let bread slices air dry for 1 to 2 hours, then cut into cubes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
  3. In a oven, melt butter or margarine over medium heat. Cook onion and celery until soft. Season with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in bread cubes until evenly coated. Moisten with chicken broth; mix well.
  4. Bake in a buttered casserole dish for 30 to 40 minutes.
