Were you jealous October 2nd when when Machine and Electrical Occupations shops traveled to a field trip? Well, you should have been.
When asked: "What was your favorite part of going to Ellwood City Forge, Inmetco, and Nalco?"
"It was the food," grinned Mitchell Marshall and Damian Gajewski, both senior MTT students. The companies really spared no expense in making sure the students were well-fed!
But there was so much more than food. Brad Shoaf and Bo Timmerman, both senior MTT students, said that they "enjoyed touring new places and learning useful techniques for the future."
"It was a lifetime experience I will never forget," added Dawson Fair, junior MTT student. "It opened my eyes to what it would be like working in a large machine shop."
"There's more of a call for electricians than just wiring houses -- which is cool, too." Kyle Roxburry, EO junior. "I am really interested in motor controls and Pro Logic Controls, a computer program controlling any type of process that requires electricity.
"The point of the field trip," replied Mr. Montini, EO instructor, "was to set the kids up for the future to see what to expect."
