Turkey Thankful Box ~ Charlynn Todd

Things You Will Need:
Construction Paper
Scissors
Glue Stick
Googly Eyes
Cubed Tissue Box
Step 1.)  Cut a peanut shape out of brown or tan construction paper.This will be the body of the turkey.



Step 2.)  Glue on a pair of googly eyes onto the peanut-shaped construction paper.



Step 3.)  Cut out a smaller peanut-shape out of red construction paper glue it on. This will be the turkey’s snood.


Step 4.) Fold a yellow piece of construction paper and cut out a triangle on the fold. This will be the turkey’s beak.




Step 6.)  Glue the back of the turkey to the front of the cube shaped tissue box.










Step 7.)  Cut feather-shapes out of red, orange, and yellow construction paper.


Step 8.)  Place the feathers in a patterned fashion and glue them together.


Step 9.)  Glue more feathers in between the first set of feathers to finish the tail of the turkey.


Step 10.)  Glue the tail to the back of the box to complete your turkey.


Note: You can make cards that say “I am Thankful for…” so people can state what they are thankful for and place the card in the Thankful Turkey Box

Class of 2016 senior, Charlynn Todd, selected Commercial Art as her shop in order to plan for her future.  She intends to make her best accomplishments within the comfort of her home by creating a photography studio and t-shirt design business.  Most importantly to her, she plans to raise a family of her own in her own, loving home-sweet-home.  She uses her free time to work on her portfolio which will enable her to take steps toward the goals she's been planning, which includes a continuation of her education through online courses upon graduation and a move to Pittsburgh.  Other times, you can find her enjoying her free-time with family, laughing with friends, and playing with her pet turtle.
