"I DID it!" ~ Makaila Holsinger

As a certified nurse aide, you tend to look at life differently. You ask yourself, "Would I want to be treated this way when I am older?" or "I wonder what they were doing when they were my age?". Listening to the stories they tell you is mind-boggling. The residents teach you lessons that they have learned over the years like, "Don't get married young", and "Pursue your dreams". I am ecstatic to welcome Jazmaree Bailey, Brindza Davidson, and Becky Toy into the life of a CNA!

These three earned their CNA certification by taking a state test.

What is the test like? Jazmaree's response was, "The test was very nerve-wracking and frustrating. It felt like it was just dragging on forever." Her future plans are to work as an aide until she graduates from college, majoring in business administration. Jazmaree is very relieved that she has made this accomplishment!

To get ready to take your test you have to study, study, study! The test has two parts; skills and book work. In order to pass the test, one would have to study as much as they can! That's just what Brindza did; she worked very hard and earned success! Even though the test was difficult she passed with flying colors! She plans to work as an aide while she is going to school to get her LPN. Then, she will continue on schooling to get her masters in nursing.

After going to college at Sharon Regional School of Nursing, Rebecca Toy is excited to pursue a career in nursing. While proud of herself, Rebecca was nervous while taking her test. She pushed herself to study as much as possible. Rebecca felt a huge relief of stress off her chest when she found out she had passed!
