See You at the Pole! ~ Skylar Harris

117 strong gather at the pole to pray
There is strength in numbers. On September 23rd, 117 students and staff voluntarily gathered around our school’s flag pole to pray for our nation, school, administration, staff and teachers, and our students.

Some held hands and prayed. Others bowed their heads and listened. It was wonderful just knowing that we were all there together; we all had the same thoughts in mind -- to pray for our country and our school.

Reverend Crum speaks to the students
"As a member of Youth Alive," Alize Mitchell comments, "I was inspired to see so many students attend See You at the Pole this year."
In the bright morning sun, guest speaker, Reverend Crum, had wise words of wisdom to share with the students who gathered around the flagpole.

Adam Swisher recalls, "I loved how his words spoke to me; I really appreciated that he took the time to come to LCCTC.”

Students pray
Aunonseeis Shirley remembers that Pastor Crum's words were "very touching" and is thankful that he came out to speak to the student body.

Some huddled together to stay warm as we prayed for peace and wisdom.
We prayed for the start of a wonderful school year for all.

Tori Weston enjoyed the opportunity to attend the service. She hopes that all can return next year.

This year marks the 25th year of See You at the Pole. Across the nation, students gather on the same day and at the same time to pray. Savannah Harris comments, "I was glad to have the experience, and I hope to participate in the event next year when I'm in college."
