On March 3, 2016 a group of 8 talented students, from 3 different shops went to Ellwood Group Inc. From Machine Tool Tech - Dawson Fair, Bo Timmerman, Damian Gajewski, John Walko and Jake Stewart, from Electrical Occupation - Kyle Roxberry, and from Computer and Office Technology ; Damian Quimby and Ethan Bobic. The project that they all worked on was a 3-D print of a gear as well as a powerpoint show how additive manufacturing is used.
The group went to EGI to present their gear and their PowerPoint. “While we were there we ran into our old shop teacher.” stated Bo. When the group was asked about their experience Damian G was the first to tell “I learned that my trade is actually in a really high demand right now.” Dawson added on with explain how he had a lot of fun and he even learned a lot of new information.
Jake went on to say, “We had a bomb presentation! Even though we didn’t win this year, the group that goes next year will definitely bring home 1st place.” Of course, like any good supporter Mr. Miller was quick to add “I believe we should have won, the group we had this year was amazing!” Damian G had his head in the cloud talking about what the fantastic little sandwiches they had.
We know we can expect great things from the group representing LCCTC next year.
