Thankfulness; It's More Than One Day: 6 Word Challenge

This month, the LCCT’s English Students were challenged to Compose a 6-Word Memoir.  Even though the assignment was limited to six words in length, the big idea was to make sure that the author skillfully considered his or her words so that each word counted!  If you check out the title of this article, you'll see a 6-Word memoir!  Here are a few we collected that have a theme of the THANKSGIVING season:

Time flies when you're eating food. ~ Presley Boots:  CA 12, looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner

Need food: will sell college fund. ~ Kylie Smith:  HA 12, loving Thanksgiving dinner and dessert and leftovers

Really love food but still skinny.  ~ Jenna Locke:  CA 11, stealing food from Kylie's plate

Peanuts special.  Christmas cards.  Lotsa leftovers.  ~ Mrs. McVicker, can't wait to spend time with family

Black Friday Shopping?  Gotta work midnight... ~ Jeralynn DeNome: HA 12, waiting for a good sale

Turkey makes you sleepy like cats. ~ Douglas Quimby II:  COT 10, praticing to be the next Rip Van Winkle

Fall often. Always get back up. ~ Linzy Miller: VT 10, understands that "fall" has two meanings

Be thankful; life is too short. - Marie Beahr: Cos 11, "Carpe Diem" is the first thing this gal says each day!
