School Wide Positive Behavior has now become a familiar term for many of us; it's the term used to recognize students who make good choices and stay out of trouble.
On May 6th, twenty of our most dedicated anglers enjoyed a sunny afternoon of fishing down at Cascade park. We asked Bo Timmerman about the experience, but all he would tell us was, "My name's not Bo; you can 'call me Ishmael'." To date -- few know what what he's talking about -- perhaps he got too much sun.
Kaden Fernandez tried to respond to one of our questions, but all he could say was, "Oh lookie here -- I've got a bite."
Matt McConahy was excited for the opportunity to fish: "With the great weather and the chance to go fishing, all I can say is that it was a 'Hallibut' day...or was that a small mouth?"
"I LOVE it when MY GIRLFRIEND lets me go fishing," commented Logan Michaels.
SWPB has also taken us to a
Phantom's hockey game and a fun day of ice-skating, but on May 13th, it simply means two words: "Baseball Game!" An overwhelming majority of our student population has figured out that doing the right thing is the way to go. These students are eligible to attend a baseball trip to watch a game in Youngstown! It only costs $6 and this includes the cost of the game, transportation AND lunch! What a bargain! What fun!
Here's pretty cool statistic: there are over 280 students who are free from any student referrals FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! AMAZING! GREAT job!!! THAT is something worth celebrating! For eligible students, there will be an end-of-the-year picnic on May 23rd that will include music, games, and lots of laughter. Oh yeah -- AND a chance to earn an iPad Mini!
See? It's good to be good!
